The The Old School Challenge (OSC) is the premiere Pump Tournament Series.
I started running Pump Events in 1999. We have wanted to do this series for some time and finally it is time. After completing a successful season in 2002, the Old School Challenge was on its way to something more. These tournaments are dedicated to new and old Stock and Pump players on the field. There is a special skill level to pump and stock class play. Very special players make up this breed. These are the cowboys of paintball. When you see them take the field...be afraid. One shot one kill ain't just a saying its a way of life. We invite players from every level to come join the experience.
We will keep this series low cost and absolute fun. There are at least 6 events in this pump series all based in (for now) California. The top 5 event points will be taken for each team and added to produce a final score. The top scoring teams (Usually the top one, two or three teams depending on annual sponsorship) at the end of the series will receive the championship prizes determined by our sponsorship.
About Us
I write for a few different magazines and am a freelance sports photographer as well. I have played for a dozen different teams and have several wins from both Semi Play and Pump Play. From top gun to 15player pump. I am the founding member of Team Lady T&A, Ladies in Paintball, the Old School Challenge Series, PaintballHero Scenario World and Anything Paintball. You might remember me from Team Valkyries or Pump Army. The paintball world knows me as Lady Attitude. All of the above mentioned entities did not happened by my hand alone in fact all of them had strong support by too many people to mention and in fear I might forget anyone I will just tell you many minds helped shaped these worlds.
OSC was created to promote paintball. We host several charity events each season and many education and training sessions as well. From Toy Drives to workshops we are busy all year round spreading the word and hopefully helping out. We also host paintball tournaments: Pump, Semi, Stock, 3 player, 2 player, 7 player, beginner, advanced, young guns, and more. It is our goal to provide low cost quality tournaments where safety and fair play rule.
Paintball Passions
I love paintball and spend my time on the field as much as I can. Reffing is a great charge of mine and I hope to one day do it well enough to satisfy my own critique. I started running tournaments when I realized the average cost for a 5 player event was $600. I wanted to bring events to people that loved to play but didn't have those kinds of bucks. So we cut out a lot of overhead and usually still end up with some great staff, some trophies and a few prizes if we are lucky. The emphasis is put back on playing and off the prize packages.
Old School Challenge
My number one reason for starting Series was the hopes that I might be able to create a pure pump series. The Old School Challenge was born. Lady T&A and many other staffers have helped to build a pretty solid series that is growing up. I started tournament pump games in 1997 but it was a hard road since most of the players had forgotten all about their pump guns and the newer players did not even know what a pump gun was. I kept going and more players started out. Officially the OSC started in 2001 and it became a series in 2002. We are still in our infancy and we hope to shape this into a lot more.
The Teams
We deal with some fantastic teams. The OSC players are my favorite. Never have I watched such great paintball. But all of our teams have really helped us in establishing what we hope are positive events. We look forward to continuing to serve these players and continue to bring paintball to the masses.
